Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy (UGS)

UGS is used to treat certain types of superficial and varicose veins. Using ultrasound to pinpoint the veins needing treatment, the doctor injects the veins with an FDA-approved sclerosant that irritates the lining of the vein. In response, the veins collapse, seal shut and are reabsorbed by the body. After your treatment, you will be required to wear compression stockings daily for 2 weeks.
