Juvedérm®

What is Juvéderm® and how does it work?

As you age, your skin changes. For example, it reduces production of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Over time, the loss of HA in your skin results in facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm® injectable gel replaces the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

Juvéderm® is a dermal filler. These fillers work by filling wrinkles and folds directly. The areas that may improve with injectable fillers include the cheeks, creases from the nose to the corners of the mouth ("laugh lines"), lines running from the corners of the mouth and to better define the jaw line. Juvéderm® is FDA approved to last up to 1 year.
